How It All Began

For as long as I can remember, creating new things has given me a sense of fulfillment and brought me joy. As a child, I would walk down our dirt road to my Grandparent's house so I could sew with my Grandma.  I loved creating things with fabric.  I caught the designing bug at a very early age.
At the age of 48, I found myself unhappy with my job and wishing I could find a way to make a career of sewing and quilting.  That same day, I received a newsletter from one of my local quilt shops,
Fox's Sew & Vac .  I said a prayer and picked up the phone.  I talked with the owner and she suggested that I teach some classes at the shop. Within 2 months, I was not only teaching but was also working there!
It wasn't long before I started designing and writing my own patterns to sell at the shop.  After a couple of years, with encouragement from the owner and our sales representative, I decided to submit some of my patterns to the
Cut Loose Press division of Checker Distributors .  I've had 55 patterns published since then and have hundreds of designs still in my head!  I have had patterns published in Quilter's World magazine and designed for Red Rooster Fabrics.
I'm very grateful to be able to do something every day that brings me joy and a feeling of accomplishment.
